53-39: Had a day off yesterday so I was able to get on the road bike with some friends and ride up to Mt. Baldy. I think the last time I was up here was about a year ago. My ribs were still bothering me from a fracture (mountain biking accident that happened a couple of weeks ago) so climbing out of the saddle was not in the cards. I had to sit in and grind it into some of the kickers to keep up with these Cat 1/2 roadies. Beautiful weather (high 40’s) and some great cloud formations at the top of the climb. Rewarded myself with a nice cold beer and a quick lunch at Baldy Village. Photos here. 52 miles, lots of climbing.
